About “the forest through the trees”

Often I get the question “What exactly do you do?” After trying to answer this a number of times I decided to start this blog as a way to catalog my thoughts and inspiration. These topics revolve around the general concept of sustainability as it relates to my work and interests. I thought the analogy of seeing “the forest through the trees”, was a good way to describe my perspective. From Wiktionary:

To discern an overall pattern from a mass of detail; to see the bigger picture, or the broader, more general situation.
